Posted on July 8, 2014 by Dan Goldwasser

Last December, composer Timothy Williams was at the Eastwood Scoring Stage at Warner Bros. to record music for the new Universal Studios Japan theme park attraction, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which opens on July 15th. The music, produced by Audio by the Bay, will be heard as visitors to the Osaka-based theme park enter the new Harry Potter attraction. ScoringSessions.com is excited to bring our readers the exclusive photos from the recording sessions!

The Hollywood Studio Symphony performed the music, under the baton of composer Timothy Williams.

"It was an honor to be asked to write music for this incredible project. As always, the Los Angeles musicians were amazing in breathing life and magic into the music. Eric Rigler (Titanic, Braveheart) on penny whistle and uilleann pipes."

In the booth, Audio by the Bay producers Paul Freeman (handling score mixing duties) and Bob Wackerman were on hand to give feedback. They were also joined by Universal Studios Japan Senior VP of Entertainment Mike Davis, and Universal Studios Japan producer Amelia Gordon.
