Theodore Shapiro and Ludwig Göransson score Central Intelligence
Posted on June 17, 2016 by Dan Goldwasser
Earlier this spring, composers Theodore Shapiro and Ludwig Göransson recorded their score to the new action comedy Central Intelligence, starring Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart. Directed by Rawson Thurber, the music for the film was recorded at Shapiro’s new ELBO Studios in Glendale, and ScoringSessions.com is excited to bring our readers exclusive photos from the string session!

Inside the ELBO Studios main recording space, Göransson conducted a 20-piece string ensemble of musicians. Brass was recorded as well, but we weren’t able to stay for those sessions.

In the booth, co-composer Theodore Shapiro ran the sessions, working closely with librarian and booth reader Mark Graham, music supervisor Gabe Hilfer and music editor Ron Webb. At the console, ProTools Recordist ran the rig, while scoring mixer Chris Fogel, assistant Joe Shirley and assistant engineer Wil Anspach lent support.
