John Powell scores How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World
Posted on December 6, 2019 by Dan Goldwasser
Last year, Oscar-nominated composer John Powell was in London recording his score How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, the final film in the trilogy. Recording took place at Abbey Road Studios, and when the film was released to critical acclaim, it grossed nearly $520 million worldwide. Powell’s score – which recently won the HMMA Award for Best Animated Film Score – is currently getting Oscar buzz, and was just nominated for an SCL Award for Best Film Score of 2019.
