Benjamin Wallfisch scores Twisters

This past April, composer Benjamin Wallfisch scored the new action thriller, Twisters. Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, the film’s music was recorded at the MGM Scoring Stage at Sony Pictures Studios, and Universal Pictures has graciously provided us with a selection of photos from the sessions to share with our readers!

The score for Twisters features a large ensemble of the Hollywood Studio Symphony, conducted by Arturo Rodriguez and Benjamin Wallfisch. Inside the booth, Wallfisch was joined by score recording and mix engineer Alan Meyerson who was at the console. Final score mixing was done by Scott Michael Smith. Actor Anthony Ramos, who plays the character of “Javi” in the film, visited the scoring session and was given a front-row view to the experience.

Twisters is out in theaters today, and a song soundtrack album is now out. A score album featuring Wallfisch’s music will be released on August 2, 2024 from Back Lot Music.
